    Happy to hear you like the new shortcodes! It’s indeed a great idea to use a theme filter to automatically add them to all of your posts. If it can’t find a WP Recipe Maker recipe in there, it just won’t show, so no need to worry about that either.

    If you have any other ideas that would make the life of food bloggers easier, just let me know!

    Hi Lauren,

    I just installed WP recipe maker to replace easy recipe. When I try and add this code to my functions.php file, the edits save successfully but it breaks my site somehow and the site goes blank. I’m able to restore the backup easily, but are there any edits to that code I need to make for my site specifically? I’m on the genesis theme and the foodie pro child theme.

    Thanks for the help on this.

    Hey Lauren, I came across your post searching for this. Do you have an idea how I would style the buttons not on a genesis theme?

    Just now I have the text links but would like to make them into buttonsI have used this code in my functions.php file:

    function wprm_auto_add_snippets_to_posts( $content ) {
    if ( is_singular( ‘post’ ) ) { // Only output on single posts, not in the archive.
    $print_shortcode = ‘wprm-recipe-print’;
    $jump_shortcode = ‘wprm-recipe-jump’;

    $snippets = ‘[‘ . $print_shortcode .’] [‘ . $jump_shortcode . ‘]’;
    $content = do_shortcode( $snippets ) . $content;
    }
    return $content;
    }
    add_filter( ‘the_content’, ‘wprm_auto_add_snippets_to_posts’, 20 );

    Thanks so much 🙂

      Hey, Emily, it will depend on your theme. Although, it looks like you’re using different code than I shared, so you’re not wrapping your links in a custom class. If you add that to your existing code, the styles in the article should work for you!

    Hi Lauren,

    Thanks so much for this code. I’s a great help for all the reasonsyou name.
    A quick question before I go on and implement the code: Will adding the shortcodes to all my posts via the function.php trigger google to re-crawl my posts and affect my ranking?

    Thanks a lot 🙂

    Hey Lauren! This worked perfectly, and I love the function, but I’d like the buttons to display under my Social Pug sharing buttons at the top of each recipe post, not above. How can I adjust the location of the buttons?
