Loriel recently moved from her old site to NaturallyLoriel.com, working on her branding along the way. She chose to go with the Old Paper theme, but didn’t need a lot of the bells and whistles it included.
Header
Not needing the header advertisements Old Paper includes, Loriel wanted a custom header image made that would stretch across the entire space. Many of the lines needed to be removed, and the menu bar at the top didn’t come equipped with the bloglovin’ social network or a search bar.
Slider + Newsletter Opt-in
To showcase her best content immediately, and convert new readers to subscribers, the above-the-fold section of Naturally Loriel has a custom widget area containing a slider of featured content with a subscription call to action.
Below Post Widget Area
in order to avoid copying and pasting the same information into all of her posts, we set Loriel with a below-the-post widget area, where she can add disclaimers, newsletter opt-ins, and advertisements.
