Melissa has worked with Once Coupled before, so it was great to hear from her again, and lend a hand with her new layout. She has a cousin who is a web designer (cool, right?) but needed some small adjustments her cousin didn’t have the time to work on.

Creating a distinct brand is a big goal of Melissa’s, so when her layout changed she needed a bolder button to match it. Plus, she wanted her social profiles to reflect that same brand and her old banner no longer worked in her header area.

Theme Styling
Beyond branding, Melissa had a few layout-specific pet peeves she wanted corrected. She was already using a lot of pink, gold, and gray, but she wanted to add in a few more distinct black and white elements. She also didn’t need the number of comments displayed so prominently.
