Dig in With Dana

Dana knew she wanted to launch her blogging career, she just needed assistance getting started. After seeing “Once Coupled” credited at the bottom of another site, she approached me for a strategy and development session. With the assistance of Ayumi from I You and Me design, we built Dana her dream design.

Individualized design from the ground up

Dana’s layout was months in the making, involving numerous meetings with Ayumi, a beautiful logo, detailed illustrations, and embellished blog elements. Her site features a subtle, multi-image header and visual cues to indicate recipe traits.

The new Dig in with Dana home page features visual "can be made" cues and a rotating header background.

EasyRecipe DEtails

We really wanted the whole experience of “digging in with Dana” to feel planned and immersive. Therefore no detail was left unaccounted for. Her recipes, instead of using the default EasyRecipe theme, are complete branded to match her site.

To create a cohesive user experience throughout Dana's post content, we designed a custom EasyRecipe theme.

Custom Print Styles

In fact, even Dana’s “print” button takes you to a beautiful page where you can print her recipe without ads or clutter, while creating a highly visual card that can be saved for years to come.

When printing, Dana's recipe layout will match the visual aesthetic of from her post content.

Mobile Responsive

Mobile responsive isn’t optional these days. We hide unnecessary content from Dana’s readers so that we can put the recipes front-and-center.

A mobile-responsive layout, Dana's mobile menu collapses, hiding her pages, social links, and search out of sight.
