Increase Caching for Static Assets

Caching is the process of saving a copy of your content in a location that is faster to access. When defined, your site will tell the user’s browser to temporarily save content on their computer so that it can be accessed faster in the future. This improves load time for your visitors and reduces stress on your server, which can improve your server response time.

How to Increase Caching to Resolve GPSI warnings

If your site is showing local caching warnings for certain file types (JS, CSS, PNG, JPG, etc…), your host should be able to increase the caching duration for these file types. In our testing, we found that a caching duration of 6 months appears to resolve local caching warnings.
