We love OptinMonster and use it ourselves, so we understand wanting to stick with this platform. However, some implementations of OptinMonster can (a) load a bunch of scripts or (b) cause a visual delay in your page’s load.
We recommend making sure you do the following:
- Load OptinMonster using their site-wide script, rather than adding multiple campaign-specific scripts across all pages.
- Delay above-the-fold opt-ins by 2+ seconds, so they feel intentionally delayed and not disruptively slow.
